Archive Department

Over the last 30 years and more, we have made many recordings of concerts and the like for groups, choirs and orchestras; most of these were 'one offs' and the records and cassettes were the only record that was kept for posterity. Some other recordings were issued on cassettes at the time but we have held on to the original digital recordings in our archive.

It is really a labour of love rather than a commercial decision to build on this archive so the work is being carried out when time permits. The work involves transferring all the digital tapes to our SADiE hard disc based editing system so that we are not dependant on ageing digital recording systems as the source, and the aim is to provide a more accessible means of retrieving any of the recordings if required. Currently, work is in hand to archive recordings from the 1980's when the Sony Betamax PCMF1 recording system was in use. More details of 'goodies' held in this archive will be posted soon.

The following links will take you to lists of recordings that have been 'retrieved' to date ...
