Please meet the team:
I'm Mike McMillan
, sound engineer, maintenance bod, cleaner and invoice clerk; I started
the company in the early seventies when we used analogue recording equipment.
In more recent years, digital recording has taken over in the sound world;
these days we record straight to a SADiE LRX2 digital hard disc system.
I'm only one member of the team and, as there can be a great deal of setting up
to do before the recording session can start, I am very pleased and lucky to have
the support of:
At my right hand is my assistant engineer and head of transport,
Hazel; Hazel has completed her BTech. National Diploma in
'Music Technology' at Reading College and
her HND in Music Production and
now has a BA (Hons) Music Production. (Thames Valley University,
Reading Campus) Much valuable experience is being gained and
she is a great asset to the business! Hazel also works at Thames Valley
University, Reading as she provides technical support to keep the Campus Radio (Blast
1386) on the air.
The chances are that if you ring us, you will be greeted by the friendly
voice of my wife Chris who will provide you with any non-technical information
you may require. Chris is able to provide details of our charges and what
services we are able to provide. When technical information is required, then
she will normally hand over to me to deal with things.
